This collaboration will enable bodyshops and insurers to accurately measure and manage the carbon footprint of vehicle repairs through the integration of AkzoNobel\u2019s product and process data into Solera\u2019s Sustainable Estimatics platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By factoring in variables such as specific paint systems, spray booth time, drying temperature, and VOC emissions, the integration delivers a detailed view of emissions associated with the entire refinish process. This allows repairers to make more informed, sustainable choices\u2014balancing environmental impact with operational efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a key step in delivering our sustainability ambition and our first initiative with Solera,\u201d said <strong>Ignacio Rom\u00e1n Navarro, Business Director Automotive &amp; Vehicle Refinishes EMEA at AkzoNobel.<\/strong> \u201cBy helping bodyshops choose the right coating systems that combine faster process times with lower energy consumption, we\u2019re reducing carbon emissions while supporting business profitability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaboration, initially launching across EMEA, aligns with AkzoNobel\u2019s broader sustainability strategy to reduce carbon emissions by up to 50% across its value chain by 2030.
